Migraine Australia is run entirely by volunteers like you – people who live with migraine or care for someone who does. If you want to make a real difference, we have vacancies in these key areas:
Board positions
- Treasurer – Oversee financial operations including budgeting, grant reporting, financial statements and compliance with charity regulations. Ideal for those with bookkeeping, accounting or nonprofit finance experience. (4–6 hours/month plus monthly meetings)
- General Board Members – Help shape strategy, governance and partnerships. We’re especially keen to hear from people with sales (fundraising/partnerships), pharmaceuticals (advocacy/treatment access) or marketing/communications backgrounds. (3–5 hours/month plus monthly meetings)
General volunteer roles
- Website developer – Update site, fix bugs, improve accessibility and user experience for people with migraine. Basic coding and content management skills needed. (2–4 hours/week)
- Media & communications – Write press releases, manage social media, create campaign content and build media relationships to amplify migraine awareness. Writing and digital marketing experience a plus. (3–4 hours/week)
- Researchers – Gather data on migraine prevalence, treatments, policy and best practices to support advocacy submissions, reports and campaigns. Strong research and critical thinking skills. (2–4 hours/week)
- Customer service/receptionist – Answer enquiries via email/phone, provide resources and connect people to support. Friendly, empathetic communicators who can juggle multiple tasks. (2–4 hours/week)
