New leadership to power Migraine Australia through the next wave of health innovation

Migraine Australia has announced the appointment of Chloe Cifelli as Chairperson and Amy Jones as Deputy Chair; two experienced executives set to lead the organisation through a new era of growth, innovation, and influence.

Their leadership begins at a pivotal moment for migraine advocacy in Australia, announced on the back of exciting new developments in treatment and research. With breakthroughs in biologic therapies, digital health, and neuroscience accelerating worldwide, Migraine Australia is committed to ensuring innovation translates into real, equitable access for every Australian living with migraine.

“We’re entering one of the most exciting decades in migraine treatment we’ve ever seen,” said Chloe Cifelli, newly appointed Chairperson for Migraine Australia. “But innovation only matters if patients can access it. Our focus will be ensuring every Australian living with migraine can benefit from new therapies, not just those who can afford them.”

As a senior leader in digital transformation and a lifelong migraine advocate, Ms Cifelli brings a unique blend of lived experience and strategic capability. Her appointment signals Migraine Australia’s intent to strengthen its governance, partnerships, and data-driven approach to advocacy.

Amy Jones, stepping into the role of Deputy Chair, is a healthcare services and digital health leader with a clinical background as a pharmacist has played a key role in growing Migraine Australia’s reach and credibility across digital and community platforms.

“Migraine has long been invisible in Australia’s health conversation,” said Ms Jones. “Our goal is to bring it to the forefront, connecting the community, the science, and the system to drive real change.”

Outgoing Chair Jude Kingston praised the organisation’s progress and the timing of the leadership handover.

“Migraine Australia has grown from a small volunteer network to a recognised national voice,” said Ms Kingston. “Chloe and Amy bring the experience, energy, and vision needed to take the organisation into its next phase.”

Under new leadership, Migraine Australia will strengthen its partnerships across government, health, and industry to improve access to emerging therapies; use evidence and patient insights to inform national policy; and continue empowering the five million Australians affected by migraine through awareness, education and community connection.
