Perceptions of Migraine Insight Report | 2026

Migraine is Australia’s most common neurological condition, yet it is still misunderstood.

Migraine Australia with Starburst Insights conducted an Australian survey on the Perceptions of Migraine.

57% of Australians reported having experienced a migraine attack,

20% of Australians reported having a formal diagnosis of migraine from a GP or health professional.

71% agreed that people living with migraine are judged unfairly.

54% believed migraine receives too little attention and funding.

70% believed migraine can have a significant or severe impact on daily life, while 45% considered it an extreme or serious health condition.
