2024 Community Quilt Project
This Migraine Awareness Month we're inviting you to be part of a community quilt project, showing what migraine means to you on your own square.
As the main group of people significantly debilitated by migraine are women aged between 25 and 55, and many of those are housebound or unable to work, crafting is a significant interest for our community.
This year, in keeping with the theme of ‘Stronger Together’, our members have identified that they would like to make a community quilt as part of Migraine Awareness Month, with those interested each making a square that represents what migraine feels like to them.
It is our intention to have people make their squares throughout June, and then respected quilter Marni Franks, who is one of our valued volunteers, will put them all together in a large wall quilt that we hope to present to the federal parliament once complete.
If you would like to make a donation to help cover the costs of this project, that would be wonderful! Please use the donation form on this page. All donations to Migraine Australia over $2 are tax deductible.
If you would like to make your own square to contribute to the quilt, please click here to go to the expression of interest form. There is a maximum of 150 squares that can be made for the quilt, so get in quick!
