As we continue to get things back to the way they should be, we are holding an Extraordinary General Meeting on May 8, 2024.
The purpose of this meeting is to update the membership on the health of our organisation, and pass a couple of resolutions to enshrine things that should happen in the formal records of the company. Specifically:
- That Directors are ordinarily appointed by a vote of the membership
- That an AGM should be held in September of every year
- That if, for any reason, an AGM can't be held, the votes on Directors, and motions, and the priorities for the year ahead should still be held,
- To formally appoint new Directors to the Board, including affirming the appointment of the current directors, and
- To clarify a requirement that we must be able to contact you for your membership to be active.
We are doing our best to contact all current and former members to let them know about the meeting and how they can vote. If you haven't received an email yet, please check your junk mail, or email [email protected].
The meeting will be held via zoom and voting will happen using an e-balloting system.
Please note that most members have had their membership extended to April 30, 2024. You will need to renew your membership to vote in the meeting.
